Hay Day Calculator

Finally it's here! The tools calculator comes to your aid! With the help of my beloved husband, well more like I sort of make him do this hahaha, love you huni! Very simple, first choose barn or silo, key in your current storage amount and then your goal amount, click calculate and you're done. Press reset if you want to calculate again. This is still trial mode, so if there are any malfunctions please do inform me. Btw, everything is based on the price of 270 coins each tool. Enjoy!

Silo & Barn Guide

Here it is guys, the heart of this game. It is the most important factor and asset in your farm. Sooo, before I get into the strategy let's do a little math shall we? Before, the tool price was 225 and even reached 375 during inflation. But I'm using the current price and everything down below is based on 270 coins for each tool. We are going to count how much we spend on this behemoth storage.

PHew that's a lot! But a long ago I didn't have that much money, I did not even come close to it. So I tried to be as efficient as I could to spare some space in my barn & silo. I invented a system using every player as my storage. I call it the Banking system. I sell all the products that I think is in abundance in the market, but not in a large stack. Because not many people can afford full stacks of items or can fit it in their storage. I also keep making these products myself since they mostly take a long time to make and it is a smart choice to produce before going to sleep. If I need them I'll just buy them again easily. Then I found out that in Hay Day the type of order is triggered by probability. And it seems that the items with a lower quantity have a higher probability than products with a bigger quantity. In the current system the high/highest amount-items also have a high probability to be triggered as an order. So what I do is setup my storage in a way that I think will trigger somewhat 'easy' orders to do. No one has seen my storage and it's a bit of a messy setup in the picture. Atm I feel like I have enough space, I don't really go hunting for tools anymore but if I happen to find some, I'll grab it. If not, naaah is ok. If you look at the top left window you can see several items with a low amount. That is the item I purposely keep low. If I have too much of them, I start dunking them into my shop. The items in the bottom, that I have a low amount off such as apple jam, bracelet, etc are things I really do need >.< At the same time I try to always keep a high amount of items like sugar, butter, etc. The blackberry juice is intended for selling. I sell rare stuff to my neighbors/followers if I have 40 or more. I do this because having a high amount of those means I'm not in a good position because I get a lot butter and sugar orders. Same as the silo, I always set it up so my lowest level item has the highest amount(well that coffee bean is high because I just harvested it). And at the same time I make it so that some other 'easy' to get crops I only have little of (in this case the cocoa is not intended to be low). This way I increase the chance of my chosen item to get picked by the order system. The goal of the storage is not just aiming to get it larger but also on how you manage your items inside the storage to help you. In theory, with the current game system, if many people are saving up their rare items and do storage arrangement, we as a player can help to balance the game/market. More people will buy the abundance item since demand is increased and sell more of the uncommon item on the market. But of course this would require understanding of each other. Such as lowering the price of eggs and bacon&eggs. It's a long shot. But the point of this post is for everyone, no matter what level you are, if you're able to turn your disadvantages into advantages, to treat the game system as your ally instead of an obstacle and enjoy the game while you're doning a lot of effort, then you have reached the level of Avant-garde and mastered the game.

Coffee Kiosk

After testing the new coffee kiosk all day, I ended up with 6 white sugar out of 40 while my machine produced white sugar non stop. So I have like 10 of each product that uses white sugar. I decided to produce raspberry mocha and caffe mocha for the rest of the day because both don't need white sugar. The machine initally gives two slots. I expanded just one slot because I don't think it is worth it to expand this machine too much. First of all my white sugar wont be able to compete with the production. Second, my coffee bean also wont last. I've planted like 60+ coffee bushes on my farm, lets see if I can still keep up and sell some of it. Unfortunately I have no clue what level these things get unlocked because everything is available to me. Btw coffee kiosk takes 1day 10hrs to open once you purchase it.

Expansion

After eagerly awaiting the new update for weeks, hoping that I can blow all my coins for my hay day expansion, I was rather sad after I found out that it's going to be one of those endless hunts again. My farm was so desperately in need of space since back at lvl 50. So I decided to spend some of my diamond savings *cry*. After carefully considering all night which to choose, I finally made my decision to open 2 spaces. After several post updates here is a list of 17 known spaces in a graphic below.

Efficient Levelling

The day that I write this post I'm at lvl 65. I humbly write this guide as I think of myself as just a mediocre high level player. I claim myself to be a Hay Day addict but a true Hay Day fanatic would have far surpassed me in level. They're the ones who can play Hay Day non stop and extremely camp the brochure day and night (sounds familiar). Not to mention if they also use Tom. In my estimation, by now, the highest level player would already reached the Lvl 70 Club. Though I play Hay Day less nowadays and devote my Hay Day passion to this blog, I'm glad that I could share this with you guys. The point of this post is to make your leveling become quite faster and easier in a doable and realistic manners, well to me at least. So let's get rolling shall we? Save up! On the contrary to many beliefs that I seem to spend money on this game and despite my farm isn't lacking anything, the truth is I never spend a dime in this game. I got diamonds from saving up and some from a game bug. Well long ago there is this bug where you can open a mystery box over and over again. This is when the game was still new and at trial and error phase. So same as many of you, I play this game by doing a lot of effort. And one of them is saving up many items that I consider rare. I have acquired a considerable amount of rare item but that's also because I refrain myself from using them. Usually after I level up, I take a break from doing any rare delivery for some time. Saving up all these rare items eventually will help you level faster because when needed you always have the rare stuff laying around and ready to use. You start slow but in the end you'll come out as a winner. Be selective with your order choices. This is also related to saving up. I will give you an example which order I do and don't. No 1, Yes. Because it only needs 2 blackberry juice and the rest of the request is very easy to get. This is of course because coins is the least of my worries at this stage. No 2, Hell No! It uses too many rare items and the xp or coin rewards stink. No 3, Nope. Why? The only item that is worth saving is butter and I have 42 at that picture. The reason I'm reluctant not to use my butter is because a lot of my production units depend on it. And also I keep butter reserve in large quantity so I can focus producing other dairy product that I need. No 4, Yes. Any crops request is good. Especially ones that can be produced in less than 2 hours. The lower the crop lvl the better. I never buy low lvl crop that I need for orders despite not having enough. I plant it myself because by planting and harvesting, you gain xp and possible useful loot from it too. No 5, definitely a No. Despite that seems to offer a good reward, as you can see my stock of crucial items is low, so cheese and rare strawberry ice cream. No 6, Big YES. This is probably one of my favorite orders. Hamburgers are so easy to get, and despite the xp and coin reward are low I would gladly spend my coin and do this order every time it pops up for the sake of xp. I rather tear up an order if the item request takes too long to complete. Doing every order will not make you level faster. I rather do less order in a day than having to spend all my item on unworthy requests just for the sake of xp. I keep a worth doing order on my board even I'm still lacking of an item in it because a good order is hard to find. Less is more. All of these are basic examples of what you can do to level up efficiently.
Use every arsenal to level up. As you can see I don't intend to complete this boat order. But there is an easy request, in this case the blue sweater. This item is abundance in the market and if you are not worried about da monee to spend, then by all means, wrap that blue sweater in all those boxes. Boat orders can be very useful without completing it because when you reach a certain level, xp become more valuable than coins. Plant trees and bushes. Those things generate a lucrative profit and produce xp whenever you harvest them. The whole process of this tree & bush business involves xp. Even when the time is there that you need to chop them down. Don't let your farm look like graveyard while these dead bushes/trees actually gave you decent xp when you clean them up. Lastly, even though this doesn't happen often, reviving your neighbor plants provide a good xp. Just say average reviving per plant gives you 10xp. When you do 2000 of them, you get 20k xp. That's quite some rite?

Hyper Achievements

Many people already knows how to do both of these hyper herder and hyper harvester achievements. Well for some of you that haven't done this, here is the easiest way to do it. The best way to do Hyper Herder III is when you just wake up in the morning when all your animals are ready to be collected. You will need the amount of animals on picture above to be ready for collecting and 18 chicken feed ready in your barn. After you've collected all your animals. Make sure you feed all your 18 chickens again because you will need to collect it again 20 minutes later. So after 20 minutes you will have collected a total of 66 animal products. The reason why you need to do this in the morning is because once you collect one of your animal, the time counter on the achievement will start. So morning is when the time counter gets reset and with all your animals being ready, it makes it even more easier to complete this achievement. Also in the morning you usually have empty slots in your roadside shop. So if your barn can't hold them, just dunk them at your shop. Second one is Hyper Harvester III. This is even easier to do. Same procedure, morning when all your crops are ready to be harvested and naturally the time & counter are reset. You need about 40'ish fields full of ready crops just to make sure to harvest all of them at once. Re-plant wheat on all your 40+ fields and keep harvesting them till you get 200 fields. It should be doable within a 20mins frame if you keep on watching them. So the more field you have the sooner you can complete it. As for excess crops that make your silo full, again dunk them in your shop that's usually empty when you wake up. If you're super active then 30+ fields are ok too. But that's going to be close with the time limit.

Boat Order & Achievement

This is by far the hardest achievement to get. I want to be honest, I did it a long time ago when they gave a free 3 day trial for Tom. But ever since they applied the voucher system on the boat, I started to experiment on my own how to make these orders less painful to do. As far as I know the boat order seem to be randomly generated based on the amount of items in your barn and silo. Almost similar to the patron request. When you look at the hard order, it always asks you for stuff that you have the least amount of. And you end up with a disastrous request like below. So I'm going to share you my tricks to at least reduce this 'mission impossible' task. Now I'm going to show you what I mean by using picture below.

And as I mentioned before in Patronage Achievement post, I always make sure that my wheat is highest amount in my silo. You may notice that my sugar is also high. That's why I'm screwed with regards to sugar, because often I get sugars order for my boat. But either way, the setup I have makes it rather easy to complete orders. I say this again that these order are RANDOM so your setup might not always work. These are factors that will help you to get a good random order: 1. Your level is not too high. The reason being is that the higher level u get, the more items are participating in the random order draft. So the least amount of items you unlock, the better chance you can get a good order. Provided of course that you arrange your items inside the barn and silo in a good setup. 2. Wait and stack up rare items before you do any boat order if you intend to get the achievement. So yes, you have to let go dozens of boat orders to be ready to begin your 12 consecutive boat order marathon. So those items such as jam, juice, cake, rare pie, ice cream. If you keep doing orders when these rare item are in low amount, you certainly will enter the devil circle. It will keep asking the same thing. So make sure those item are in mediocre numbers compare to non rare other items. 3. Obvious, you need to have adequate space in your barn and silo for this stock up business. Having enough space plays a very important role in Hay Day. 4. Put the most abundance items at the lowest amount. Those items that you can easily find every time you flip the brochure. For example, chili popcorn, hamburger, cornbread, grill tomatoes, egg, bacon and egg, etc 5. Another useful trick is to get one of your crop in unusually low amount. That way it tricks the random system to choose it. We know crops are abundant in the market. Whichever crops you want to choose depends on your budget. As you can see it is tedious without Tom. But if you only intend to search easy order for voucher then this tactic will certainly help because you can skip whichever painful order that pops up.

Patronage Achievement

Welllll that's not really how it's done. Deep down inside, I do feel like shooting them whenever they come asking for rare products, grr. But I found an easier way to handle these annoying request without involving any gunshots and becoming a Hay Day murderer. Besides refusing their ridiculous request, you have to know that the key is that they always ask for the product you have the highest amount of and the lowest one. That's why sometime they ask for an apple jam that you don't have. What I do is simply always have my lowest level crops at the highest amount. That way most of the time your patron will ask for wheat, corn, carrot, bean and sometime sugar cane depending what's the highest amount at the time they come to your farm. Also they will ask the highest amount of item on your barn. So if it happens to be that sugar is your highest amount, he might come and request for it. So simply reject when that happens. Below is how I always set up my silo. Note the amount below is just an example. Just fill according to how much your silo can handle.

Vouchers Rarity

So how rare are these vouchers really? That's a good question. So let's find out together shall we? Atm I have 2 Hound, 2 Pinscher, 2 Retriever, 2 Tabby, 2 Calico and 1 Tuxedo. So just to make it easy, I made a friendly calculation below. The strategy to get the vouchers you want is to hire Tom for 15 days. Ask him to get mostly the bling2 and then stack up your metals. Those bling2 are ring, bracelet and necklace, especially focus to get the ring. I stack them until I roughly got 30 each. Asking Tom to get the metal is optional. Personally I only done about 50% of those metal orders. The rest I throw it away because 1 order can ask for a lot of metals and that's too much for Tom to handle with 2 hrs limit. So just choose wisely which metal order to do. I don't suggest getting voucher from the boat order because it will deplete your valuable products with a very little reward and the xp is not worth it. Unless of course the boat order happen to be very easy.
